A Day of Thanksgiving

I woke up this morning to the sound of my baby girl cooing in the crib next to my bed.  What a sweet sound.  The rush of emotion came as I realized it was Thanksgiving morning.  My senses then turned to my warm blankets, and the sound of my older two boys giggling and playing in the bathtub.  How lucky I am to have 3 healthy children, a solid marriage, and a beautiful homestead to hold them.  I am in love.  With my family and with my life.  I wouldn’t want things any other way.  I am so grateful for my life and have been fortunate to be able to share my it with many amazing people along the way.  Thank you for being part of my journey.

I thought I would share the blessing we say before mealtimes in our home.  We try to stretch out the sentiment of Thanksgiving to each and every meal.  Gratitude is an important element in happiness.  We are so blessed, and remind ourselves often!  Here it is:

Earth we thank you for this food,

For rest and home and all things good,

For wind and rain and sun above,

But most of all for those we love.

Blessings on our meal.
